2019 Conference: Programming Announced!

The 2019 conference of the Réseau des villes francophones et francophiles d’Amérique (Francophone and Francophile Cities Network) will take place in Moncton, New Brunswick August 15 to 17. Programming, detailed here, includes a presentation by authors Geveviève Dorval-Douville and Jean-François Gingras on imagining the potential of the land, as well as a talk on municipalism by Jonathan Durand Folco in the context of the Réseau and bringing together municipalities and communities. The conference also promises the ultimate Acadian experience as part of Congrès mondial acadien 2019, among other programming and cultural highlights. Representatives from member cities (or cities wanting to join the Network) and from partner organizations are invited to register now register now. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Delta Beauséjour hotel until June 15; don’t wait, space is limited!
On March 29, 2019, City of Moncton representatives—mayor Dawn Arnold, corporate communications director Isabelle LeBlanc, and conference coordinator Danielle LeBlanc—met with Centre de la francophonie des Amériques and the Network to discuss the upcoming 2019 Rendez-Vous.
From May 22 to 24, 2019, representatives of Centre de la francophonie des Amériques will be in Moncton on an exploratory mission to visit Rendez-Vous venues and meet with event partners.
