Museum L-A director Rachel Desgroseillers
and intern Catherine Picard
Thanks to a partnership with Lojiq, Museum L-A intern Catherine Picard is responsible for coordinating a portion of the Franco-Route project in New England. On May 24, a bus tour of Lewiston and Auburn is planned to test this circuit designed to showcase the history of Franco-Americans and the tourist attractions of one of Maine’s biggest industrial cities. Network director Dominique Sarny will take part in the tour and provide feedback.
We would like to sincerely thank Mr. Dion for all his great work with us over the past few years. His commitment to La Francophonie is infectious. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
A two-hour walking tour was also developed as part of the project. The Franco-Route is intended to link the cities of Lewiston and Auburn (Maine), Biddeford (Maine), Manchester (New Hampshire), and Woonsocket (Rhode Island) to create a tourist route based on the region’s Francophone history and culture.
